What The Foodie Kitchen covers
The Foodie Kitchen publishes recipes from many cuisines, cooked without industrial seed oils such as canola, soybean, corn, cottonseed, sunflower, safflower, grapeseed and rice bran oil. Each dish uses a traditional fat instead, often the one the cuisine has long used: ghee in Indian cooking, olive oil in Mediterranean dishes, butter and lard in baking.
Start with the three guides: Seed Oils 101, the Traditional Cooking Fats Guide and the Seed Oil Free Recipes hub. For product picks, see the shop.

How we write
Recipes and guides are written for home cooks. Health and nutrition statements cite a source such as USDA FoodData Central, a university extension service or peer-reviewed research, or are worded cautiously. Buying guides are desk research, and we say so; we don't publish invented tests, ratings or reviews. This content isn't medical advice. Spot an error? Email foodiekitchen@proton.me and we'll correct it.
