The Seed Oil Free Starter Kit

What to remove, what to buy, and 5 recipes to cook in your first week. No overwhelm. No expensive overhaul. Just the things that actually matter.

Step 1 of 3

Remove These from Your Kitchen

These eight oils are in almost every processed food, restaurant meal, and supermarket product. Start by checking your pantry — anything with these on the label goes.

❌ Canola oil
❌ Soybean oil
❌ Sunflower oil
❌ Safflower oil
❌ Corn oil
❌ "Vegetable" oil
❌ Cottonseed oil
❌ Grapeseed oil
How to check: Read every ingredient label. Oil is often listed third or fourth. Check cooking sprays, salad dressings, mayonnaise, crackers, bread, and any packaged snack food. Don't stress about eating out — focus on what you cook at home first.

For a deeper explanation of why these oils are a problem, read: What are seed oils — and why does it matter?

Step 2 of 3

Stock These Instead

You don't need all of these on day one. Start with butter and one of the tallow or ghee options. The rest can come over the next few weeks.

Fatworks
Fatworks Beef Tallow
For frying, searing, roasting. The highest-smoke-point option.

Budget tip: A 14oz jar of beef tallow costs about $18 and lasts 3–4 weeks for a family that cooks daily. That's less than a single restaurant meal. Butter is at every supermarket for $5. You don't need to spend much to start.

Smoke points are typical lab values for the fat type, not for these exact jars, and vary with refining and freshness. Smoke point alone does not predict how a fat holds up to heat [3]. Sizes are as listed on Amazon. Affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
